Non-subsidized training
At the Center Jovent every year we develop various specific training courses for people over 16 years of age. These are non-subsidized training. At the moment the following courses are offered:
Basic life support, semi-automatic external defibrillator and first aid course

- Characteristics: Non-subsidized course, aimed at free-time monitors / res, volunteer staff, relatives of high-risk patients, police personnel, firefighters, security guards … or anyone who may witness a situation of danger to the life of another human being.
- Contents:
- Fundamentals
- Basic vital support
- Semi-automatic external defibrillation (DESA)
- Respiratory problems
- Wounds and bleeding
- Traumatological problems, techniques and equipment
- Nervous system problems
- Environmental agents
- Foreign bodies: toxic, bites and stings.
- Attributions: Certificate issued by Cooperativa Jovent and approved by the Ministry of Health, Family and Social Welfare, under the National CPR Plan, with accreditation for the use of the Defibrillator and the EUC (European Resuscitation Council)
- Duration: 22 hours
- Authorization: Ministry of Health, Family and Social Welfare
- Access: You need to be over 18 years old.

Fisherman Sailor Course
- Next course start date: no scheduled date
- Characteristics: Non-subsidized course, aimed at all personnel who act as junior crew members for any service on vessels dedicated to fishing or aquaculture auxiliary.
- Contents:
- Concept, knowledge and name of the different elements and equipment of the ship.
- Government of the ship, lookout and guard services.
- Loading and unloading operations.
- Ship maneuvers in port.
- Handling and maintenance.
- Safety and health in fishing operations.
- Handling and conservation of fishery and aquaculture products.
- Protection of the marine environment and its resources.
- Attributions: Through this course the Professional Seaman Fisherman Card is obtained and allows to act as a junior crew member for any service on vessels dedicated to fishing or aquaculture auxiliary. Likewise, it empowers to handle for commercial purposes vessels of less than 10m in length, dedicated to fishing or auxiliary aquaculture, that operate exclusively within the internal waters of ports and have adequate power to the vessel, and provided that they do not carry passengers.
- Duration: 23 hours
- Authorization: Conselleria d’agricultura, Medi Ambient i Territori
- Access: You need to be over 16 years old, have the Basic Training certificate (a 70-hour course whose certificate is issued by the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine of the Ministry of Development) or know how to swim. On the other hand, you cannot have any color blindness problem.
