Employment Guidance Service (SOOJO)

A contracted service במסגרת the SOIB framework, promoted by the Employment Service of the Balearic Islands and funded by the European Social Fund (ESF+).

An Integrated Employment Guidance Service aimed at young people over 16 and under 30 years old, with the objective of supporting individuals at risk of social exclusion and with particular difficulties in entering the labour market, helping them improve their employability.

Our service is contracted for a total of two years, with 451 places assigned per year, supported by a team of 15 professionals across 11 contracted units.

The investment for this first year amounts to €846,034.60.

Our operational method provides personalised support to each individual to help them achieve their personal and professional goals, integrating their personal needs with social demands. To do this, an analysis and diagnosis of each person’s situation is carried out, allowing for a deeper understanding of each young participant. This enables us to better identify and address their needs and define an appropriate process.

Each individual pathway is designed collaboratively between the young person and the counsellor, based on a prior assessment of their specific needs. This is delivered through guided support with comprehensive care and specific sessions aimed at improving personal attitudes, skills, competencies, and employment opportunities.

An Inclusive, Flexible and Continuously Reviewed Programme

Positive and open approach for everyone:

  • Professionals provide an open, non-judgemental environment, considering all young people in a positive way so they feel welcomed and heard.
  • One of the main pillars of our service is to promote gender equality and the inclusion of women in society, using mechanisms that foster equal opportunities in accessing the labour market and promote full inclusion.

Support and follow-up throughout the entire process:

  • Group and individual mentoring sessions
  • Follow-up with parents and/or guardians
  • Networking: Coordination with external professionals involved in the process

Active company outreach

Professionals dedicated exclusively to outreach and follow-up.

On the other hand, through vocational training courses, participants can obtain certifications that validate their technical skills. Ultimately, a process will be established to support their integration into the labour market through an employment contract with a company.
