Professionalism certificates for unemployed people

In the Centre Jovent every year we develop several courses for people from 16 to 64 years aimed at obtaining certificates of professionalism. These certificates certify the set of professional competencies that qualify for the development of an identifiable job in the production system. They are official and valid throughout the national territory and are issued by the SEPE and the Balearic Islands Employment Service (SOIB) in our autonomous community.

The certificates of professionalism are constituted by two or more theoretical-practical modules that are taught in person and a module of non-work practices that is carried out in companies. To obtain said certificate it is necessary to have passed all the modules that constitute it, including the module of practices. In all the training is intended an integral education that promotes work performance and development as a person.

The Centre Jovent is approved by the SOIB to give 22 professional certificates.

Within the SOIB unemployed call, the Centre Jovent offers training for unemployed people between 16 and 64 years of age.

Characteristics of the training

All courses for obtaining professional certificates are free, as well as material, uniforms and individual protection equipment. Each course has two professionals (one technical trainer and one educator / hour) for each 16 students.

Multimedia tools are used, such as tablets, which allow access to videos, simulations, conceptual maps, etc.

  • More about training features

The training is theoretical-practical, with a very high percentage of experience working on real tasks and with a progression in the degree of difficulty that makes the assimilation of all the contents accessible.

    Study and work material

Prepared by trainers of the Centre Jovent in collaboration with the UIB, it has been adapted to the needs of the students (progressive and easy to understand) and to the requirements of each certificate of professionalism. In most formations, some contents are worked with multimedia tools, which is why students are provided with tablets that allow them to access videos, simulations, conceptual maps, etc.

Business practices

These are the last module of any professional certification. They allow the approach to the workplace and work contents that have been seen throughout the training process. They can also be sources of employment contracts. Once the professional practices begin, Jovent performs regular visits to companies to keep track of them.

When selecting a practice company for our students, we look for the company that best suits each person’s profile, in the bag of more than 300 companies that we have. The workers of the entity prepare non-work practices in advance with the company, the trainers of the Cooperativa Jovent and with the user.
